Earth—our home planet—is the only place we know of so far that’s inhabited by living things. It’s also the only planet in our solar system with liquid water on the surface.
We need to realize that this is our spaceship, the only home we know, and collectively we must be better stewards of Planet Earth. “Earth In the Balance” is much more than a book title (Al Gore) it is a battle cry for us to take action. Changing weather patterns and increased volatility all over the planet are impacting us all. Much more than our global economy. Without clear air and our clean water, there is no life. That affects you and me, your kids, grandkids, and our entire posterity.

Earth is the third planet from the Sun and the only astronomical object known to harbor life. While large amounts of water can be found throughout the Solar System, only Earth sustains liquid surface water. About 71% of Earth’s surface is made up of the ocean, dwarfing Earth’s polar ice, lakes, and rivers. Wikipedia
